About Me.I am originally from Clarkesville, Ga. Clarkesville is a little town in the mountains of Northeast, Georgia. I went to Piedmont College where I received my Bachelors Degree in Visual Arts and my Masters Degree in Art Education
This will be my 11th year teaching art. Ever since I was in elementary school I have wanted to be an art teacher and I truly LOVE what I do. I am extremely excited and thankful to be the art teacher at May Howard Elementary School! I am from the mountains so I enjoy anything outdoors. I love hiking, mountain biking, swimming, paddle boarding, gardening and much more. My favorite art medium to work with is clay. I love creating sculptures and ceramic pieces. I also love painting and jewelry-making. Occasionally I sell my artwork online and before Covid, I would sell my art at different festivals and farmer's markets around town. I live on Wilmington Island where I live with my husband, daugher, and two dogs. I am excited for what the new school year will bring. I know Virtual Learning will be a challenge, but I know that it will make us stronger as a school community. #mayhowardstrong |
